1. Construction industry: as water retaining agent and retarder of cement mortar, the mortar has pumping property. In plastering mortar, gypsum, putty powder or other building materials as adhesives, improve the daub ability and extend the operation time. It can also be used to paste ceramic tile, marble and plastic decoration, paste reinforcing agent and reduce the amount of cement. The water retention property of HPMC can prevent the slurry from cracking due to drying too fast after application, and enhance the strength after hardening.
2. Ceramic manufacturing industry: widely used as adhesive in the manufacture of ceramic products.
3. Coating industry: as thickener, dispersant and stabilizer in coating industry, it has good compatibility in water or organic solvent. As paint remover.
4. Ink printing: as thickener, dispersant and stabilizer in ink industry, it has good compatibility in water or organic solvent.
5. Plastics: used as mold release agent, softener, lubricant, etc.
6. PVC: used as dispersant in PVC production, it is the main auxiliary agent for the preparation of PVC by suspension polymerization.
7. Pharmaceutical industry: coating materials; membrane materials; speed control polymer materials for sustained-release preparations; stabilizers, suspension AIDS, tablet adhesives and tackifiers.
8. Others: HPMC is also widely used in leather, paper products industry, fruit and vegetable preservation and textile industry.
